Life is undoubtedly weird, interesting, and amazing. Sometimes we forget that we are living a life that was given to us by the Almighty. The almighty is the one who knows in and out, everything happening around us, what we feel, what we see and what we think. In the developed countries, people do care about who grows foods for them, who cleans their road, who gives life at the border to protect the country, to save the people. They are humble, they genuinely care about others, they listen, they try to be empathetic.

But, where i lived most of my life, grew up, know people around me. They are different. They are not empathetic, they look for opportunities to how to harm others, they only understand money. They are greedy. As a country, in Bangladesh, we have lots of things. We grow crops 12 months, if we can utilize at the best way we can easily maximize our food production.. What else do you need to survive in this life? Why aren’t you grateful? Be happy with what you have. Allah gave us enough, we are privileged. We have two legs, hands, a brain. That’s all we needed to have a happy and healthier life. Think this way, people around you don’t have eyes, autistic, maybe no hands or legs, they struggle their whole life and curse themselves why didn’t they get a normal life like others. I know, normal is a relative word, it depends on how we are defining it.

And honestly? That shift in perspective hits different when you really sit with it. We’re out here complaining about slow internet or a bad day at work, while someone somewhere is just grateful they woke up breathing. That’s wild when you think about it.

I’m not saying life is easy. It’s not. People will disappoint you, systems will fail you, and some days everything just feels heavy. But a lot of our misery also comes from comparison. We look left and right and feel like we’re losing some race that nobody actually signed us up for. Social media makes it worse, everyone’s highlight reel is playing 24/7 and we’re sitting there measuring our behind-the-scenes against it. That’s not fair to yourself.

The greedy mindset, the “step on others to get ahead” attitude, it’s honestly just exhausting. And the saddest part? Those people aren’t even happy. You can tell. There’s a certain kind of restlessness in people who only chase money and status. They get what they want and then immediately want more. There’s no finish line in that race, it just goes on forever until you’re old, alone, and wondering where the time went.

What actually fills you up is way simpler. A good conversation. A meal you cooked yourself. Helping someone without expecting anything back. Watching the rain. Praying and actually feeling it. These things are free and they’re everywhere, but we walk past them every single day chasing things that don’t even matter.

So yeah, life is weird, life is hard, and people can be genuinely terrible sometimes. But it’s also incredibly generous if you pay attention. You just gotta slow down enough to notice it. And maybe, just maybe, be the kind of person that makes someone else’s life a little easier today. That’s really what it all comes down to.
